ABOUT TARMAC

In 1903, Mr. E. Purnell Hooley, the county surveyor of Nottingham, England, obtained a British patent for a revolutionary new road surfacing material made of slag and tar and named it Tarmac. From these beginnings, the Tarmac brand has become known worldwide.

In 2000, the U.S operations of Tarmac was aquired by Titan America. Today Tarmac employs more than 700 people throughout Florida at its ready-mixed concrete, concrete block and sand & transportation facilities. Our customers, operate in all sectors of the construction industry, including specifiers, contractors, developers, municipalities, military, and home builders.
